金獎導演黃心健的VR作品《自監體》(The Eye and I) 將於於 10 月 7 日（六）至 22 日（日）在2023 高雄電影節「XR 無限幻境」展出。2023 XR無限幻境大展是全台唯一、亞洲最大的沉浸式影像大展，聚集全球最頂尖共29件的各式虛擬實境作品，多數為亞洲與台灣首映，結合文化與行為藝術的多重感官虛擬現實，是XR狂熱粉絕不可錯過的盛事之一！
The VR work “The Eye and I” by award-winning director HsinChien HUAN will be exhibited at the 2023 Kaohsiung Film Festival’s “XR Dreamland” from October 7th (Saturday) to October 22nd (Sunday). The 2023 XR Dreamland is the only immersive film exhibition in Taiwan and the largest in Asia, featuring a total of 29 top-notch virtual reality works from around the world, most of which are premiering in Asia and Taiwan. It combines culture and performance art in a multi-sensory virtual reality experience, it is an unmissable event for XR fans!
藝術家黃心健與國際前衛電子音樂家讓米歇爾(Jean-Michel Jarre)臺法聯手的最新力作《自監體》(The Eye and I)完整版本，將首度在影展期間放映，故事以法文「監視」（Surveillance）及英文原意「在空中的眼睛」（Eyes in the sky）發想，披露無所不在、來自科技的監控，如何凝視土地上發生的所有事物，是發人深省，並兼具幽默及反思的體驗。
Director HsinChien HUAN’s latest masterpiece, “The Eye and I,” created in collaboration with internationally renowned electronic musician Jean-Michel Jarre, will have its full version screened for the first time during the festival. This story comes from the French word “surveillance”, which in English originally referred to “eyes in the sky” above us watching everything that happens below. “The Eye and I” reveals a surveillance crisis while inspiring audience self-reflection.”Viewers will explore the origin and development of “The Eye and I”, and learn about the intertwined story of human society and “surveillance”. After a series of journeys, viewers learn how “surveillance” is embedded in our culture in various forms and even affects our perception of reality. “The Eye and I” aims to help people escape surveillance by helping viewers understand its history.
高雄電影節自2017 年起首度加入VR影展單元，並透過「高雄VR FILM LAB」原創VR電影開發計畫持續為我國新媒體藝術創作挹注心血，並在駁二藝術特區設置VR體感劇院及辦理VR競賽，近年來逐步整合為「XR無限幻境」單元，每年吸引亞洲及世界各國的新媒體藝術創作者參展。
Since 2017, the Kaohsiung Film Festival has included a VR exhibition section. It has continuously invested in the development of original VR films through the “Kaohsiung VR FILM LAB” program, nurturing new media art creation in Taiwan. It has also set up VR sensory theaters and organized VR competitions in The Pier-2 Art Center, gradually integrating them into the “XR Dreamland” section. This has attracted new media art creators from Asia and worldwide to participate in recent years.
